Gay and lesbian couples are more often having satisfying marital and family relations than straight couples.
That can be seen in family issues and lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender relationships, leader resarchers are saying.
Executive director of the Rockway Institute, Robert-Jay Green(affiliated with the California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant International University) said that gay and lesbian couples appear to be better than straight one, because of to important factors that promote healty relationship, equal division of paretning and household tasks.
“Research shows that lesbian and gay couples, by virtue of being composed of two partners of the same gender, have a head start in escaping the traditional gender role divisions that make for power imbalances and dissatisfaction in many heterosexual relationships,” Green is saying.
I studies held by Michael Bettinger and Ellis Zacks, they found out that lesbian couples are emotianily more closer than gay couples, which are still closer than heterosexual couples. They also foun out that gay and lesbian couples are much more flexible the way they handle roles and rules in relationship.
